— Have you ever acted like Nikita in real life? — Well, I'm a sportswoman. I played basketball and swam a lot. And I could even take part in the Olympics… Actually I'm from the family of swimmers — when war was over, my grandfather worked as a coach and manager of a swimming-pool, that's why I had to swim a lot. I didn't want that at all, but my grandpa gave me 10 cents for 10 rounds. As I made friends, got close to someone, we had to move back, and I had to start it all over again. When I was 12, I wanted so much to become a member of girls' gang, but when I was told to steal candies from a supermarket, I got all wet, when somebody patted me on the shoulder in the store. “That was me!” — I cried then, and it turned out that some woman just wanted to know what time it was. So I'm not like Nikita at all. She has to act like that to save her own life… — Nikita is so calm and ruthless. Is there anything in common between you two? — I think that most modern woman are like that. I'm tough, smart. It's very difficult for me to stay calm, when I see that somebody's lying. I'm quite stubborn, self-confident. I tell the truth. What we have in common is that we are direct. I never look back, I always go forward, as well as Nikita. — Is it true that you hold a black belt in judo? — No. I never went beyond a greenbelt. For the role of Nikita I took lessons of karate and ju-jutsu with a personal trainer. I practiced different tricks and I imagined that I would be able to do them myself, like Jackie Chan, without a double. But on the movie set they told me that I shouldn't do it. — Are you in for sports now? — I play tennis, go diving, when I'm on vacation in the Bahamas. I love to walk, ride a bicycle, play football and table tennis. It makes me relax. — Would you agree to have your picture taken for “Playboy”? — I don't think that it's necessary. — They say that when you were a child, you were stunned with your mother's beauty. And when did you realize your sexuality? — I was very affected. As for my mom, she was like that. My parents were divorced. I went to school and prayed for her sins as for my own. I wore a uniform. I was shy but I wanted to be just like everyone else. I asked her not to meet me at school. But she did it in her way: she drove to the school, signaled loudly, and when she got out of her race car, her skirt could hike up and all men looked at her.. Now my mom laughs when she sees me wearing this stuff.. — Did your mother get married again? — No, she worked on three jobs to raise me like other children. — You are a dream of any man. When did you stop being so affected and shy? — You make me shy with such compliments. I never knew how to react to them. I love criticism. And when people polite with me, I always think that I missed something. — What kind of man is in your life now? — He is quite an opposite of me. He has a 6 year old daughter. I had a couple of boyfriends before Damian. I'm old-fashioned in question of marriage. — What is it that you can't stand in men? — I don't like anger. I can say if someone shouts at me: let's see each other in a couple of hours, and then come tender and care. — After so many moves from one destination to another is there a place in Australia that you can call a home? — I built a new home now, I love it so much. My family and I often spent time in mountains, trips, without radio or television. We had a great life. — Did you have some problems with food, what happened? — That was anorexia, which I got through. It happened when I worked as a model. I didn't like the job but I couldn't refuse because of money. You feel like a piece of meat there as our true beauty is inside us. Then the illness was gone. I wanted to help people and I went to the catholic school to talk to the girls who wanted to become models. Nuns got sick when I told them what kind of business it really was. — You also love your grandma a lot… What role did she play in your life? — О, my nanny is very good. She took care of me. — Do you plan to become a producer? — I would like to make films with budget about 5 million dollars. — What do you expect from your future? — I have a dream to open a school for children like Nikita. For children, who lost their way. I would like to help them to find the right way. To have a school, a home, where these children can go from the street to practice art instead of becoming criminals…
When Peta was a child, she hated her name because her parents wanted to name her Peet. Her father thought out the name Peta. He was sure that a boy would be born and thought of the name beforehand. He called his daughter Peta in honor of “Miss Australia-70” who had the same name. — Favourite writers: Shakespeare, Tennessee Williams; Her first acting experience was a role of a tree in a school play. Peta loves old cars, she has three of them: “Chevrolet Impala”, 1958; “Ti-Berd”, 1957, and “Dodge”, 1938. All the cars have names: Lussil, Stella and Bert accordingly. Peta never made love to a woman but had a kiss with a woman a couple of times. Peta thinks that women kisses better than men. |
